| While
studying Natural Resource Management at Colorado Mountain
College in 1982, I enrolled in photography and outdoor
education courses as a means to nurture my artistic,
creative and recreational needs. After leaving Colorado
Mountain College and moving to Breckenridge Colorado
I began working as a ski patroller, raft guide and kayak
instructor. In 1986 my first business was shooting photos
and video taping rafting customers on the Arkansas River.
After moving to West Virginia in 1987, I continued my
interests combining guiding, kayaking, photography and
videography into a modest living. My passion for adventure
and photography provided a catalyst for traveling the
globe shooting, skiing, biking and river running wherever
the snow, water and my camera lead me. Twenty years
later I moved west again and Sierra Nevada Outdoors
was born.
Capturing and sharing your memories is my business.
As a photographer my pictures and videos grace hundreds
of home libraries and photo albums across the globe.
Literally - from California to West Virginia from
New Zealand to Chile. I pride myself in providing
quality products both in our whitewater and photography
services. I consider myself fortunate to be doing
what I love to do. This shows in the quality of my
work and my commitment to an exceptional product.

Certifications, Awards: …My career
spans more than twenty years as a photographer, videographer,
raft guide, kayak instructor, river rescue instructor,
adventure travel and expedition leader. My medical
and wilderness background include twenty years as
a professional ski patroller, as well as instructing
wilderness search and rescue, rock climbing, caving,
mountaineering, and at risk youth courses.
