DAY 2: Meet at 8:30 AM. Where to meet is decided at the end of yesterday's lesson. Some flexibility at this point is necessary. Flat water instruction may be utilized to practice our kayak rolls, or we may go directly to an appropriate section of river to accomplish the day's lesson. Regardless, the majority of the day is spent on class I, II & III whitewater developing and practicing specific kayak skills including safety, water reading, and rescue techniques. Lunch is on the river. We conclude the day at approximately 4:30 pm. A post clinic discussion will complete our second day.

Please understand that weather and water level conditions affect actual time spent on the water and time schedules may vary. Lesson locations vary as well, depending on water levels and ability levels of the students. Flat water instruction is critical on the first day of a beginner class to insure a positive and productive experience. Students with prior experience and/or previous (formal) flat water instruction, at the discretion of the instructor, can proceed directly to an appropriate section of river. Day clinics are inclusive: including equipment; kayak, paddle, spray-skirt, PFD, helmet, wet suit, dry top, booties, *student assisted shuttles, ACA certified instructor; and a deli style lunch with choice of bottled water or Gatorade to drink. *Shuttles work like this: We all meet at a designated location (directions provided with your reservation, and at the end of each days lesson). Students leave their cars at the take out, load all equipment into the instructor's vehicle, drive to the put in location, put on the river and proceed downstream in our lesson format; arriving at the take out at the end of the day. Students drive the instructor back to the put in to get their car at the end of the lesson. Signing of a ‘liability waiver and assumption of risk form’ prior to beginning the course is required to participate in all kayak clinics.
